Sioux City Befuddled by Gil in 1-0 Whitewash

The St. Paul Saints did little to support starter Donato Gil against the Sioux City Indians, but it turned out he didn't need the help.
The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Indians, striking out 10 and surrendering 2 hits. The performance from Gil allowed St. Paul to escape with the 1-0 win despite an anemic offense.
"Nobody came to me and said 'Donato, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Gil told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
