Sterling Fires Shutout in Thunder Victory
The Lincoln Logs struggled at the plate today against Thunder hurler Charlie Sterling, who shackled them on 3 hits while hurling a complete game 1-0 shutout.

"What can you say? We didn't hit well," said Logs skipper in his postgame comments. "Hopefully we shake this off and bounce back tomorrow."

Sterling finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 1 walk in an excellent mound performance.

"He pitched real well," Amarillo manager said. "Charlie made pitches when he had to. He hit his spots and did a great job of mixing in his changeup and using his fastball effectively."

This season Sterling has compiled a 7-16 record with a 4.97 ERA in 26 starts.
