Flindseyes Macías Fires No-Hitter
The Hemet Flindseyes were just hoping for a solid outing from Domingo Macías. Instead, they got something special.

The 21-year-old hurler tossed a no-hitter against the Eureka Redwoods, helping the Flindseyes take the 1-0 win.

"I felt good throughout the game," he said after his spectacular outing for the Flindseyes. "As I was going into the ninth inning, I wasn't nervous. I knew I had a chance to do something special."

Macías's repertoire has a cutter, changeup, fastball, splitter, and sinker, and he used it all to full advantage, keeping the Eureka hitters off balance all game long. The Hemet hurler fanned 13 and walked 2 in his history-making performance.

"His cutter looked about the size of a watermelon seed and it hissed at you as it passed," Eureka manager joked after the game.

This season Macías has worked 55.2 innings with 61 strikeouts en route to a 4-3 record and a 1.94 ERA.
