Francisco Maldonado handcuffed the Hilo Islanders at Rottweilers Ballpark, coming away with a 9-hit, complete game shutout.

"I had everything working for me out there," the Fresno Arktos right-hander said later. "I used every one of my pitches, hit both sides of the plate really well and felt like I could do whatever I wanted."

With his stuff working, Maldonado had little trouble with the Islanders and led the Arktos to victory, 4-0. He recorded 15 strikeouts and 2 walks in an impressive performance.

To date this season, Maldonado sports a 9-5 mark with a 2.03 ERA in 15 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .236 batting average and has 142 strikeouts in 124.1 innings.
