Pivotal Game 5 Goes to Host Pelicans, 1-0
|
The New Orleans Pelicans have a critical edge over the Las Vegas Strip in the League Championship Series, thanks to the veteran arm of Rafael Infante.
Infante, 31, put on a dominant performance at Higgins Park today, leading the Pelicans to victory, 1-0, in a pivotal Game 5. New Orleans is now one game away from the Series of the West, leading the best-of-7 series by a margin of 3-2. Las Vegas will need to win both remaining games to advance.
Infante, the New Orleans right-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 6 hits. He collected 13 strikeouts.
"We put together a nice win," Infante said.
The next game is set to be played for Friday, October 18th , 2013 at Banditos Ballpark in Las Vegas.
