League Championship Series Goes the Distance, New Orleans Prevails
The New Orleans Pelicans were paced by a strong offensive output from Noel Floyd as they downed the Las Vegas Strip 4-3 to win the League Championship Series.

New Orleans won the final game by a score of 7-5 at Banditos Ballpark to send themselves off to the Series of the West.

"I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said third baseman Floyd, who was named MVP.

For the series, the MVP hit .259 with a .333 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The New Orleans Pelicans will play against the Seattle Rainiers in the next round. Seattle won their series against the Hollywood Stars 4 games to 2. The Series of the West schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
