Almost There: Las Vegas On Cusp of WCS Triumph After 7-2 Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of shortstop Mario Padilla, the Las Vegas Strip got a road win against the Denver Grizzlies, 7-2, in Game 4 of the Wild Card Series today. Padilla went 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Strip, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.

Las Vegas relied on the hitting of José Guzmán to pick up the win. The third baseman clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Strip on top, 3-0. For the game, Guzmán had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Padilla called the triumph "a good team win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Jellystone Park in Denver.
