Hubbard Tosses 1-0 Shutout Thursday, September 19th , 2013 Anaheim Mice starter Bob Hubbard really did a number on the Edmonton Eskimo today, shutting them out 1-0 on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued no walks and had 12 strikeouts. "We didn't have good at-bats," said Edmonton manager . "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Hubbard." For this year Hubbard has chalked up 16 wins and 7 losses in 30 starts with 281 strikeouts in 233.1 innings and a 2.04 ERA. View Boxscore |
