Mendoza Week's Best Player Monday, July 27th , 2015 A battle-tested Alonso Mendoza declared war on opposing pitchers last week, attacking the ball like the well-schooled veteran he is. Today the 34-year-old Fresno center fielder collected the Pacific AAA Player of the Week Award. He wrapped up the week with a .480 average, 12 hits in 25 at-bats, no home runs, 3 RBIs and 6 runs scored. On the season, Mendoza is batting .323 with 14 home runs and 45 RBIs. He has played in 71 games. |
