Foster Tosses 5-0 Shutout Thursday, July 30th , 2015 Scott Foster of the Riverside Firebolts was on fire against the Tacoma Thunderbirds at Firebolts Ballpark. He shut them out, 5-0, on 5 hits, collecting 12 strikeouts and allowing no walks. "The first two pitches I'm looking for an out, a ground ball or a fly ball," Foster said later. "I'm trying to get quick outs. I've never been a big believer in trying to strike a guy out from the very first pitch. It's too easy to end up behind in the count doing that." His record for the year is 9-8 in 19 starts and Foster has a 2.55 ERA. View Boxscore |
