Wood Hurls Riverside to Shutout Victory Saturday, August 1st , 2015 Riverside pitcher Chris Wood put on a show and walked away with a shutout victory, 6-0, over the Edmonton Eskimo, throttling them on 4 hits. He cruised through the Eskimo lineup, fanning 8 and walking 2 in a strong outing. "He was very efficient and he hit his spots," Firebolts manager said after the game. "He stayed down in the zone and stayed away from the middle of the plate." Wood's record this season is 8-and-10 with no saves and a 2.82 ERA.
