Behind Barrón, Austin Blanks Fort Worth, 1-0
Thursday, August 6th , 2015
Felipe Barrón was in a mood to talk following the Austin Chords contest against the Fort Worth Falcons, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Falcons, 1-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Barrón said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Fort Worth on a 3-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 13 strikeouts.
Barrón has made 6 starts this season, posting 5 wins and 2 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .207 against him and he has 78 strikeouts in 53 innings with a 3.23 ERA.
