He led the Wichita Aviators to victory, 4-0, blanking the Sioux City Indians on 2 hits. He had 2 walks and 9 strikeouts. "You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," Sioux City skipper told reporters after the shutout loss. "He just had a real deceptive fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
