Cortés Shuts Out Brownsville Thursday, August 21st , 2014 Vicente Cortés held the Brownsville Impact to 10 hits and fashioned a fine 6-0 shutout at Baton Rouge Grounds today. Speaking after the game, Baton Rouge Red Sticks manager said "Cortés had everything going for him today. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement. He was masterful." Cortés rung up 4 strikeouts and surrendered no walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Brownsville manager told reporters.
