No Late-Season Magic Coming: Baton Rouge Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 7th , 2014 When it comes to a late-season playoff disappointment, the old axiom "wait until next year" isn't overly comforting. "We really thought we would get into the playoffs this year," said Baton Rouge Red Sticks reliever Bill Ruffin. "It's really disappointing to come up short." Before this season, the Red Sticks last missed the playoffs in 2012. In the 58 years they have been a BSBL Triple A franchise, they have missed the playoffs 48 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Red Sticks have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
