Combs Rips Reno for 5 Hits Sunday, May 15th , 2016 Edmonton shortstop Richard Combs had a big day at Field of the 911s against the Reno 911s. The 24-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 6-0 Eskimo triumph over Reno. "Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Combs said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all." Richard Combs doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This year, Combs is hitting .304 with no home runs and 1 RBIs to his credit.
