Pioneer AAA Names Mendoza Best Batter Monday, May 23rd , 2016 It was a fantastic week for Amarillo first baseman Juan Mendoza and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Pioneer AAA Player of the Week Award. Last week Mendoza hammered the ball at a torrid .400 pace, going 4-for-10 with 4 home runs, 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year, Mendoza is batting .186 with 11 hits and 5 home runs. He has scored 10 times and has batted in 12 runs. |
