Butte Sweeps into the Round 3 Sunday, September 21st , 2014 The Butte Miners are on to the Round 3 after a convincing series win over the Memphis Chicks. Butte wrapped up the series sweep with a 5-2 win in the last game, to take the series 3-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Donald Ward, who was named series MVP. For the series, Ward hit .571 with a .700 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 0 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Butte Miners will play against the Austin Chords in the next round.
