Rodríguez Shuts Out Santa Barbara, 6-0 Tuesday, May 31st , 2016 It wasn't easy but the Reno 911s made it look that way. Starter Jorge Rodríguez shut out the Santa Barbara Foresters despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Reno 911s cruised to victory, 6-0. Rodríguez allowed only 8 hits and rang up 7 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." Rodríguez has started 5 times this year, pitched 37.2 innings, fanned 42 batters and walked 8. His current record is 2 wins and 2 losses with a 2.15 ERA. View Boxscore |
