Robinson No-Hits Fort Worth
Friday, June 3rd , 2016
In a dominant outing, Mike Robinson of the Austin Chords totally silenced the bats of the Fort Worth Falcons, finishing with a no-hitter.
In the 8-0 victory, Robinson faced only 29 batters, surrendered no hits, had 11 strikeouts and 2 walks.
"Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Austin manager said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any."
Commenting on the defeat, losing manager had a "pretty simple" analysis of the game.
"The Chords had all the hits and all the runs, so they won," he snapped. "But yeah, Robinson pitched a heck of a ballgame."
This year, Robinson has worked 72.2 innings with 77 strikeouts en route to a 5-2 record and 1.49 ERA.
