PAAA's Best Player Selected, It's Rodríguez Wednesday, October 15th , 2014 Miguel Rodríguez of the Brownsville Impact had a fine season this year and today he accepted the Outstanding Hitter Award for 2014.
The 23-year-old center fielder put up a .284 average and a .339 on-base percentage, piling up 130 hits, 26 doubles, 5 triples, 12 home runs, 44 RBIs and 82 runs scored.
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 24. Dan Smith of the Austin Chords finished second in voting with 3 first place votes, while Xu-gang Lau of the Jackson Hermits finished third with 4 first place votes.
