Steele Bewilders Cowboys, 4-0
Sunday, June 19th , 2016
Brandon Steele was in a mood to talk following the Jackson Hermits contest against the Amarillo Cowboys, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Cowboys, 4-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Steele said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked Amarillo on a 2-hitter, allowing 2 walks and racking up 11 strikeouts.
Steele has fashioned a 7-2 mark for the season, 1.34 ERA and thrown 73.2 innings in 10 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .151 against him.
