Adams Batters Fort Worth Big Time Sunday, June 26th , 2016 Chris Adams was at the head of a St. Paul hit parade at Ballpark of Clarendon. The first baseman went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Saints to a nice 16-0 victory over the Fort Worth Falcons. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Adams told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Falcons skipper said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Chris Adams singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th and walked in the 9th. Adams is hitting .317 for the season with 6 home runs, 28 RBIs and 21 runs scored. He has 52 hits in 164 at-bats and played in 57 games. View Boxscore |
