"He just kept the ball down, did a good job, made his pitches," said Santa Barbara manager . "We didn't do a good job making adjustments, so we helped him out a little bit." Sánchez, who is tied for 9th in the PCL AAA with a 2.21 ERA, fired a 5-hitter and totaled 7 strikeouts and 1 walk in the shutout performance. So far this year, Sánchez has made 13 starts, tossed 93.2 innings, struck out 105 batters and walked 16. His record is 7-3 with a 2.21 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .193 batting average.
