Maddox Pounds 3 HR Tuesday, July 5th , 2016 It was a terrific day for Joe Maddox, who ripped three home runs at Ballpark of Brownsville, and a disappointing one for the Brownsville Impact who, nevertheless, dropped the game, 5-3, to the Jackson Hermits. "He was instant offense," Brownsville skipper said. "Joe really put on a show. He more than did his part. We just didn't come through with hits at the right time to win the game." For the day, Maddox collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 3 RBIs. In the postgame press conference he told the reporters he has always liked to hit at Ballpark of Brownsville. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he said. Joe Maddox struck out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Paul Farmer in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Ken Norman in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Shu-yaan He in the 11th. Maddox is currently batting .238 with 13 home runs, 42 RBIs and 37 runs scored. He has 62 hits in 261 at-bats. |
