Great Day for Adams -- 5 Hits Friday, July 8th , 2016 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Mike Adams is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the Baton Rouge Red Sticks at Baton Rouge Grounds. The monster effort from the 24-year-old right fielder helped the Sioux City Indians get the win, 8-4. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Red Sticks manager . "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Mike Adams hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
