Simpson Bangs 3 HR Against Springfield
Monday, September 9th , 2013
Lincoln Logs third baseman Brady Simpson put on a dazzling display of power today at Ballpark of El Dorado against the Springfield Indians. In the 11-3 Logs victory Simpson penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Springfield manager said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 22-year-old had 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Simpson said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Brady Simpson flied out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Pat Key in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jesús Esquivel in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Esquivel in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.

In 116 games this season Simpson is batting .222 with 87 hits and 16 home runs. He has scored 44 runs and driven in 51.
