Flindseyes End Terry Streak
Thursday, July 23rd , 2015
It was a doubly miserable day for Rick Terry of the Medicine Hat Pills, as he saw his 21-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 7-3, to the Hemet Flindseyes at Flindseyes Stadium. The 21-year-old third baseman was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Flindseyes.
"Anyone on a 21-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Hemet manager said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done."
Terry is hitting .280 this year with 5 home runs, 23 RBIs and 34 runs scored. He has 94 hits in 336 at-bats, 26 walks and a .341 on-base percentage. Terry has played in 92 games.
