El Dorado Sweeps into the Round 2 Saturday, August 23rd , 2014 Evan Tucker said he expected the Round 1 to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the El Dorado Oilers encountered little resistance in sweeping the Grand Junction Green Mesas, to advance to the Round 2. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Tucker. El Dorado won the final game by a 2-1 count and were led in the series by Tucker, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .714 with 0 home runs. He also drove in 1 RBI and scored 1 runs. The El Dorado Oilers will play against the Amarillo Thunder in the next round.
