Cotton Kings Gámez Fans 15 Flindseyes Friday, May 13th , 2016 Tony Gámez of the Casa Grande Cotton Kings put on a pitching clinic at Cotton Kings Ballpark, as he struck out 15 Hemet Flindseyes in a 4-2 victory. Gámez, who is tied for 4th in the PCLA in complete games with 3, was simply magnificent, holding the Flindseyes to 3 hits. He walked 2. "I felt okay at the beginning," Gámez said, "but eventually my curveball really started working. I also have to thank my catcher for calling a great game." When asked about Gámez's performance, Cotton Kings manager shook his head and said, "Yeah, he was good out there today. He was dominating." Checking out his stats for the season, Gámez has registered 4 wins and 3 losses in 8 starts, posted a 2.17 ERA, and struck out 79 batters in 58 innings. View Boxscore |
