Blues Cruise to Round 2 with Sweep Monday, September 15th , 2014 Jesús Ventura said he expected the Round 1 to be "a battle from start to finish." In the end, it was nothing more than a minor skirmish, as the Folsom Blues encountered little resistance in sweeping the Hemet Flindseyes, to advance to the Round 2. "It may have been a sweep, but it still was a tough series," said Ventura. Folsom won the final game by a 3-1 count and were led in the series by Ventura, who was named MVP. On the series, he hit .545 with 1 home runs. He also drove in 2 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Folsom Blues don't know who they will face in the next round.
