Sea Lions Cruz Smacks 5 Hits Saturday, June 4th , 2016 The Monterey Sea Lions stopped the Salem Senators by a score of 10-6 at Ballpark of Holdredge, with the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Jesús Cruz. The 22-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Cruz said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Cruz did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Senators. "Not much that I can say," offered Salem manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Jesús Cruz doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
