Farley Electric in 9-0 Pearl City Win Saturday, June 18th , 2016 The Edwards AFB Jets were almost helpless in their 9-0 loss to the Pearl City Divers and hurler Melvin Farley. Farley kept the Jets confused all game, spinning a 3-hit shutout. "Tip your hat to Farley," Edwards AFB manager said in a postgame interview. "He kept us off balance all night." The 24-year-old right-hander had 3 walks and 11 strikeouts in a strong performance. "It just happened to be one of those games where even when I made mistakes, they either fouled them off or someone would make a fine defensive play," Farley said. "It was just one of those games that things went my way." On the season, Farley has compiled a 3-8 mark with a 3.53 ERA in 14 starts. In pitching 104.2 innings he has 137 strikeouts and 48 walks while limiting the opposition to a .213 batting average. View Boxscore |
