PHX-R Moves on to Rookie SOW Wednesday, September 25th , 2013 The fans in PHX-R are celebrating the Fireballs victory over the SNB-R Stallions in the League Championship Series. They defeated the SNB-R Stallions 7-2 in the finale played at Predators Grounds to capture the series 3-1. Nick Armstrong was chosen the series' Most Valuable Player. The Fireballs left fielder batted .286, drove in 7 runs and scored 2 runs in the series. "The Stallions are a good club and I don't mean any disrespect to their pitching staff, but things just felt easy this series," Armstrong said. "Everything at the plate seemed right." The PHX-R Fireballs will play against the LB-R Ports in the next round. LB-R won their series against the HOU-R Lone Stars 3 games to 1.
