The MIN-R Millers third baseman crushed three into the stands at Comets Field in a remarkable performance, propelling the Millers to a win, 17-1, over the HOL-R Stars. "If you want to get paid in this league, you've gotta earn it," he said later. "I earned my paycheck today." He tagged 3 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 6 runs and scored 3 times. "We made three mistakes and he made us pay each time," HOL-R manager said later. José Méndez hit a three-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th. Méndez is hitting .381 in 2015 with 41 RBIs and 19 home runs. |
