Boucher Smacks 3 Out of the Park Wednesday, July 1st , 2015 Fred Boucher went the distance three times in the LA-R-KC-R tilt at Barracudas Grounds, but the Angels lost, 13-10. "Gosh, it's a shame we didn't win this game," Boucher said later. For the day, the LA-R catcher went 4-for-6 against KC-R with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting. "I was in a groove and every pitch they tossed up there looked like a basketball," he said. "I tell you what, I was surprised because I didn't think the last ball had enough to get out. I thought it was just going to be a long out." Fred Boucher flied out in the 1st, grounded out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Mark Branch in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Nelson Blackburn in the 9th and hit a solo-shot off Ernesto Castellanos in the 11th. |
