Friday, July 10th , 2015
Fans are still buzzing after KC-R whipped the HOL-R Stars by the score of 13-7 at Steelers Park.
Víctor Vega smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the second baseman bashed out 3 hits in 3 at-bats, had 8 RBIs and scored 3 times.
At the postgame press conference, Vega said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game.
"Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Vega said. "Three is just... wow."
Víctor Vega hit a three-run home run off Tim Brooks in the 2nd, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 9th.
This year, Vega is batting .387 with 43 hits and 10 home runs. He has scored 27 times and has batted in 41 runs.
