5-Hit Blitz by Neal Wednesday, August 19th , 2015 The MIN-R Millers stopped the OAK-R Acorns by a score of 14-2 at Comets Field, with the lion's share of the credit going to right fielder Rodney Neal. The 18-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits. "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Neal said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard." Neal did just that in his 6 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Acorns. "Not much that I can say," offered OAK-R manager . "He just hammered the heck out of us." Rodney Neal hit an RBI double in the 1st, struck out in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Carlos Maldonado in the 4th, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and doubled in the 8th.
