Great Stroke: Daniel Gets 5 Hits Saturday, August 22nd , 2015 Brant Daniel exploded for a barrage of base hits at Anchors Ballpark. The SJ-R shortstop had a field day in his team's 9-1 triumph over the HOM-R Yetis, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Daniel must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Brant Daniel singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. Thus far this year, Daniel is hitting .328 with 5 home runs, 26 RBIs and 24 runs scored. View Boxscore |
