Yetis Pruitt Suffers 2-Game Suspension Sunday, August 23rd , 2015 There was a hostile encounter between Tom Pruitt and the men in blue in yesterday's HOM-R-SJ-R game. The Yetis catcher was tossed for arguing a called third strike. Actually he did a little more than just complain about the call -- he got in the umpire's face and had to be restrained by his manager. "I don't think I did anything to deserve to be thrown out of the game in the first place, never mind be suspended," Pruitt stated. "That's unbelievable. I still don't know why he threw me out of the game. I didn't charge over there until after he gave me the heave-ho." The league office did not agree with his assessment of the confrontation and suspended Pruitt for 2 games. This season, Pruitt is batting at a .224 clip with 2 home runs and 7 RBIs. |
