Going Once! Twice! Gone Again! 3 HR for Rúbio Saturday, September 12th , 2015 Fans are still buzzing after MIN-R whipped the DEN-R Grizzlies by the score of 14-4 at Comets Field. Jesús Rúbio smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the shortstop bashed out 3 hits in 4 at-bats, had 8 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Rúbio said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Rúbio said. "Three is just... wow." Jesús Rúbio hit a GRAND SLAM off Iván Bernard in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 5th, walked in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. So far this season, Rúbio has gotten 13 hits in 34 at-bats for a .382 batting average with 6 home runs. His stats include 17 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played in 15 games. |
