Piper Magic in 6-0 Shutout Saturday, September 12th , 2015 Before the game, Albert Piper said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Gilbert Stadium, the Cowboys pitcher blanked the REN-R Silver Sox, 6-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Piper said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count." The AUS-R starter held REN-R scoreless, giving up 1 hit while registering 8 strikeouts and issuing 3 walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Silver Sox manager said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose."
