Beavers Move on to League Championship Series Tuesday, September 15th , 2015 The POR-R Beavers are on to the League Championship Series after a convincing series win over the NO-R Pelicans. POR-R wrapped up the series sweep with a 11-2 win in the last game, to take the series 2-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Joe Slusher, who was named series MVP. For the series, Slusher hit .667 with a .700 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 5 runs. The POR-R Beavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the SD-R Breakers - HOU-R Lone Stars series. That series is tied at 1 game each.
