Week's Top Performer Honored by R1 Monday, May 23rd , 2016 BSBL R1 pitchers tried and tried all week long to stop Chris Blake, but to no avail. His eyes would light up when he came to the plate and he hit everything in sight, batting .542 for the week to win the R1 Player of the Week Award. The SJ-R right fielder cracked 13 hits in 24 at-bats, 4 home runs, drove in 7 runs and scored 8 times. This year, Blake has collected a .397 batting average to date with 27 hits in 68 at-bats, 15 RBIs, 6 home runs and scored 15 times. He has played in 19 games. |
