Piper Pitches 2-0 Shutout for AUS-R Saturday, June 4th , 2016 AUS-R hurler Albert Piper put on quite a show, as he blitzed the SD-R Breakers with a 2-0 shutout. He baffled them with fastballs and changeups, allowing 3 hits with 9 strikeouts and 5 walks to pick up the win. "I think every time we were looking for a fastball, he threw a changeup and every time we were looking for a changeup, he threw a fastball," SD-R manager told reporters after the game. On the season, Piper has compiled a 2-2 mark with a 1.33 ERA in 7 starts. In pitching 54 innings he has 56 strikeouts and 24 walks while limiting the opposition to a .156 batting average.
