Merced Struts Stuff in Win Over Alamogordo
Pete Merced really had his stuff working at Indians Stadium. The El Dorado Oilers hurler mystified the Alamogordo Broncos, shutting them out, 3-0. Merced allowed a total of 2 hits in the ballgame and struck out 12.

"The shutout is nice, but I'm just happy we won," Merced said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
