Hit Parade: Gibson Pops 5 Hits
Delacroix second baseman Trent Gibson had a big day at Tangled Blues Ballpark against the Grand Island Coppers. The 22-year-old, who is not typically considered a big threat with the bat, went 5-for-5 and led to the 9-6 Tangled Blues triumph over Grand Island.

"Hey, I'm as surprised as you guys are," Gibson said in his postgame comments, smiling as he scolded the press corps for underestimating him. "Maybe I'm not so bad at the plate after all."

Trent Gibson singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ron White in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

For the year, Gibson is batting .277 with 13 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 7 times and driven in 7.
