Slaughter Twirls 7-0 Shutout for Surf

Today was Rob Slaughter's turn in the rotation for the Kailua Surf and he made the most of it, shutting out the Laguna Beachers on 5 hits.
The 27-year-old left-hander led the Surf to an easy 7-0 victory, allowing 2 walks and tallying 10 strikeouts.
"I hope we miss him next time," Laguna manager said. "Slaughter certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."
To date this season, Slaughter sports a 2-3 mark with a 2.44 ERA in 6 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .215 batting average and has 43 strikeouts in 44.1 innings.
