Veeck Cracks 3 HRs for Roswell Friday, May 8th , 2015 David Veeck showed off his power as he launched three balls into the seats against the El Paso Diablos and sparked the Grays to a win, 12-7. "I got some good pitches to hit and turned on them real good," he told reporters in the postgame interview. "I have always liked to hit at Grays Ballpark." For the day, Veeck collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, scored 3 runs and had 5 RBIs. "He was instant offense today," Roswell skipper said. "David really put on a show." David Veeck flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Andy Ferguson in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Jim Unknown in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Unknown in the 8th. Veeck is hitting .262 this year with 6 home runs, 14 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 17 hits in 65 at-bats, 14 walks and a .402 on-base percentage. Veeck has played in 23 games. |
