Ontario Moves on to Round 2 Wednesday, September 17th , 2014 The Ontario Beavers said they are ready for the challenges ahead in the BSBL Double A playoffs. The club passed a big hurdle tonight, eliminating the Santa Cruz Sailors in the Round 1 to advance to the Round 2. Ontario won the final game by a score of 1-0 at Cannibals Ballpark and took the series 3-1. "Everything is falling into place and going how we expected it to play out," said series MVP Kent López. "We've just got to keep momentum rolling." The Beavers kept excitement rolling in their clubhouse after the game, as the team celebrated the Round 1 win into the early morning. "They played great ball, they deserve to celebrate," said a solemn Santa Cruz manager . For the series, López had a 0.00 ERA over 9 innings pitched. He added 10 strikeouts with a 1-0 record. The Ontario Beavers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Hutchinson Salt Hawks - Vernon Comets series. Hutchinson leads the series 2 games to 1.
